If you are thinking about joining the datemymate community or you are experiencing problems trying to sign up a friend then you are in the right place.

1. Help, I can't login!Click the 'Forgot your password?' link on the homepage sign in box, and you will be emailed a link to set a new password.
2. I'm having a problem signing my friend upDo you have the right email for your friend? If they don't get our email then we can't complete the registration process. If you need more assistance email us.
3. I don't know some of my friends detailsDon't worry if you aren't sure of some information, such as height or diet, your friend will be able to change all this at a later point. Just enter what you think this might be.
4. I don't have a picture of my friendYou don't have to upload a photo of your friend, they can always add one at a later point.
5. I'm having problems uploading a photoYou might be trying to upload a photo in the wrong format. We only accept JPG, GIF, or BMP. If you are still having problems, please contact us.
6. Can I sign myself up?Yes you can sign yourself up. You just need a friend to recommend you. Click here to get started. Once on the site your profile will look just the same as if a friend had signed you up.
7. Is it safe?Yes. The personal details (email and last name) we ask you for in the registration process are confidential and remain private. The only way someone can contact you is through datemymate™.
8. Can more than one person recommend me?No, only one person can recommend you on datemymate
9. What is the difference between a free member and a Plus Account member?Free users cannot send or receive messages. For more information see how it works
10. What shall I write, I'm stuck!Here are some tips on how to write your friend a great recommendation:
- Unique habits
- Funny quirks
- Interesting qualities
- Party tricks
- Fun times you have experienced together
- Things they wouldn't say about themselves
- Why they are so great
Try and be creative and help your mate stand out from the crowd. Not too long either, a couple paragraphs of good stuff should be enough to get them noticed.
Remember your mate will need to approve what you have written and will then add comments.
It can take up to 24hrs to have a profile approved. Our office hours are 9AM - 5PM Monday to Friday. Profiles submitted during these hours will usually be dealt with that day, if outside of working hours it will most likely be the next working day, just hold tight for us to get back to dmm HQ.
